Power/ speed setting issue

I have an issue I cannot resolve.

I will explain everything i did.

I was having issues with my laptop, win 11, so I formatted it.

All that went smooth.

I reinstalled all my programs, I installed lightburn, connected my laser, used find my laser, everything went smooth, I did upgrade lightburn to the 2.1.02, I did a couple projects a couple days ago, worked perfect, went to engrave the exact file again today, and lightburn is on drugs today. Laser is Falcon 2 40W.

Whats happening is , my settings for cutting 3mm Basswood is 650/75, today those setting is barely marking the wood.

Then I noticed, when i switch my units from mm to inches the speed and power changes, so I uninstalled lightburn 2.01.2 and installed the 2.1.01, set everything up, still the same. I got the .lbdev file kn Creality, instead if using find my laser, still the same

It does not change. It appears using different units for display.

There is a new Settings switch that links, or can unlink, the Design units with the Control units. There is also a new pull-down for the units per time setting.

Ok, that explains that.

My normal settings to cut 3mm Basswood, is speed 650, power 75, that setting barely scorches the wood.

For my 40w, I prefer 2500mm/m, 95% pwr, 6 passes, and air on. It will occasionally cut through in 4 passes, usually in 5, and always in 6 passes.

The new Settings method got me too.

But why isn’t 650/75 cut in 1 pass when that’s all I’ve ever done..

Need 2 snapshots (SHFT+WinKey+S), the Cuts window and the Settings, Basic tab window.

That will show if your setup can/cannot be fixed by a simple settings change.
