What is PPI enabled for?
It makes your laser fire individual pulses at specific spacing (pulses per inch), instead of just setting the power by PWM. It can give more consistent engraving results over a variety of speeds but tends to be better suited to RF laser tubes, not glass tubes (which is most likely what you have in the HP).
