Precision Cutting/Engraving Issue – Longer B1 30W

Hi, I have a Longer B1 30W laser and I’ve encountered an issue, as shown in the attached photos.

In the first test (grid), the engraving/cutting is not uniform.
In the second test (circle inside a square), I noticed that the circle is not perfectly symmetrical.

Questions:

 Has anyone experienced a similar problem and found a solution?
 Could this be an issue with the Y or X axis not being perfectly perpendicular?
 What are the best settings to adjust to eliminate these inaccuracies?

I’d really appreciate any advice! :wrench::fire:
I’m attaching photos for better visualization of the issue.

NoobLaser, welcome to the forum…

Don’t know how you made these… but I’d say you have a loose belt causing the variations in lines.

That’s about all that can cause this without everything being bad…

Good luck

When I first set up my Longer Ray5 10W I had similar wavy lines and irregular circles because the two belts for the Y-Axis were at different tensions.
All the best

I have already tightened the belts, but I think they might still be a bit too loose. I tried to make them as even as possible, and it seems slightly better now.

However, could this also be an issue with the rollers?

I was thinking of buying some small spring scales.
On Amazon
I wonder how many newtons of tension there is supposed to be.
???
Anybody?
I know I can get the two Y-Axis belts to the same tension any ways.
