anyone have problems trying to install 2.1 rc11 on a Mac M2 processor. I download the .dmg file open it up and put it in my Lightburn folder. Launch it and it doesn’t run. Prerelease version 2.1 rc9 will run. How long should it take to launch rc11? am I not giving it enough time to launch (2 minutes). I even went as far as to downloaded it again.
There’s something weird with it. The icon jumped in the launch bar for a while then stopped responding. I had to Force Quit. Restarted it and it took a few seconds, but loaded. Third time it loaded quick.
Try that.
The same happened to me on Windows.
After that all ok.
On mine (Win11), it took along time to load the first time, making me think it was going into LaLa Land, but it loaded with no other symptoms after that.
Strange. I force quit it, and dumped it in the trash. Then on everyone response I dragged it back out and then relaunched it. Boom chakalaka “ Winner Winner Chicken Dinner” it launched.
Thanks a lot.
Same issue on my MacBook Air, M3 chip - with
LightBurn Pro 2.1.01
Started Lightburn 2.1 first time, took approx 3-4min with a jumping icon. Than started up. Close software, restart again - zack reloaded as quick as expected ![]()
Be patient on your machine ![]()
Lunax
BTW:
After installing 2.1.02 same effect with slow starting as before.
Stopped application with COMMAND-OPTIOIN-ESC and restarted again.
Now, normal restarting time
Same issue on my M1 Max.
Tried 2.1, 2.1.01 and 2.1.02.
The Icon in the mac dock is jumping, but the app does not open.
Reverted to LightBurn Pro 2.0.05
It’s normal that it takes up to 5-10 minutes on the first start (depending on cpu power). The first start, the application runtime is built, which takes time. Once that’s done, it starts normally. So wait at least 5 minutes before closing it.
