I hope this post finds you well.
I recently started using LightBurn for my laser cutting projects and have encountered a puzzling issue with the preview. While testing the software, I noticed that the preview works for objects set to “fill” mode, but unfortunately, it’s not displaying “line” objects at all…
What’s even more perplexing is that when attempting to preview two objects simultaneously—one set to “line” and the other to “fill”—neither of them appears in the preview. However, when selecting only the fill object, the preview works perfectly fine. I’ve double-checked the settings and tried different shapes and even text, but the issue persists. This has left me scratching my head and seeking the wisdom of the LightBurn community.
Key Points of the Issue:
Preview works for objects in “fill” mode.
Line objects are not visible in the preview.
Simultaneous preview of line and fill objects results in no display.
Forgot to mention that cutting the objects works just fine, only the preview is bugging
What happens if you drag the preview progress bar/slider to the right?
I guess I never really paid close enough attention to the time estimates in my previews, but I’m pretty confident there shouldn’t be negative values. Unless they’re set for a countdown?
My slider defaults to the right and I only pay attention to the total time estimate when I first open the preview. Never checked it after dragging the slider around.
And…my previews are always black and white or grayscale (other than traversals).
The slider doesn’t move and the play button doesn’t do anything either. But with the fill objects it works just fine.
I also noticed the weird numbers… But the blank preview is much bigger problem now so I set that aside for later
