Hi, I have attached an image showing what I am seeing. The text has an outline and I want to engrave the outline but I don’t want the center text to engrave. So when I look at the preview, it shows all getting filled. Any idea what is causing this? No matter what I set the LPI at it shows the same. Also bringing it to front don’t help.

Ok, I just changed it from fill groups together to fill individually and it shows it correct now. I guess that was it. NVM
No, that won’t be it - I would look to see if you have duplicate shapes in your file, or post the file here so we can figure out what’s actually wrong.
I switched it back to fill groups together and it looked fine this time. If it happens again I will post the file. There was no duplicate shapes.
It did it again so I attached the file. I had recently installed that font and also I have seen this happen before a couple of times on other fonts. Font might not have nothing to do with it but that is something that I thought I would note.

I haven’t - The file you posted works as expected for me, so it’s possible that it’s either specific to the version of the font you have on your system, or it’s been fixed already.
Hank - You’re on Linux, right? Using the beta 9.15, or 9.14?
The file is tagged as “Fill groups together”. It’s possible that the reason mine works is that I’ve fixed a couple of rare failure cases in the inside / outside logic that could conceivably have made this fail. 0.9.15 is going to be coming really soon (days) so I would try it then.

I know, I’ve flaked out on 9.15 testing. The laser sits in the corner gathering cobwebs while I work on other projects. I’ll try to do better once July is over.
