Print and Cut misalignment in cuts with Sculpfun S10

Although I’m very happy with my S10 I have struck a problem when using the print and Cut mode with absolute coordinates. I home the laser with absolute coordinates turned on. I jog to the first registration point, set it, and then jog to the second registration point and set it. When I request the cut, the laser goes to the position and does the cut. My problem is that the cut is always off by 4.5mm staring past where it should be. What should I do to remedy the problem?

Is the error in both axis or only on one?

More in one than the other.
I woke up this morning thinking that in absolute coordinates the job origin is in the middle dot so the machine origin should also be on the middle dot. I will try that and get back to you.

Thanks for your prompt response!

No that did not work either.
The cut is 4-6mm off but always in the same direction.
Have you any ideas?
Cheers
Michael

This looks like the template is on paper. Has it been lasered or printed?
Is the mechanics overall working correctly? If you engrave a square of 100x100mm, does it engrave like it should?

It’s a print on paper. The black spot is the hole after cutting. I will check the 100 x 100mm engraving in the morning. I have not done so as yet because all cuts from User/Current Position are perfect. The offset problem only arises when Print&Cut is engaged.

If you measure the print on the paper, does it have exactly the same size as the project file in LightBurn? Some printers / printing tools resize the output so scale it to paper size. So, maybe the drawing on paper is smaller than it should be?
Maybe that shouldn’t play a role anyhow, that’s what the function is for, so maybe not an argument. Just came to my mind.

Ah Melvin, you got it right!
The print was a little scaled. I did an engraving and then put Print&Cut to work. This time it worked perfectly.
Thank you so much for putting me on the right track.
