Print and cut problems again

Where is position of the design on the laser? Is it possible the alignment would put the cut outside the area of the machine?

Its inside in LB as well as on the laserbed. As I have moved the laserhead to the target positions when setting them, and the line that is supposed to the cut is between the target positions, there is no way the line can be outside in any way.

Here you can see how it’s placed. Picture from the first attempt when it wanted to cut way off…

Make sure that you’re not losing steps on the laser itself. You may have a more fundamental issue.

I’m definitely not. I’m doing intricate work without issues. It’s only this PNC that’s causing issues.

I ran the project on a sheet of paper cutting only one quarter at a time and using Print and Cut for cuts 2, 3, and 4. I rotated the paper each time for good measure.

A couple of notes:

  1. I did scale the entire design down to fit in a letter size paper
  2. I removed the extraneous parts that were present in the .lbrn file
  3. I removed one stray shape on the black layer that was causing a black layer selection to show bigger than just a quarter of the design

Results were what I would expect. I ran Print and Cut 3 times and did not experience an issue during any of those 3 attempts. I did not use the wizard.

I did manage to save the workpiece but I had to do a lot of extra work. I will try to replicate the last issue I had once I have time. And judging by the history I will come back with new PNC problems.
