Printing to PDF for Customer Review

Is there a way to export a high res JPG or PDF of part of a light burn file for customer review/approval? I know I can “print” to PDF - but that includes the whole workspace. I can also export - but I’ve run into issues with file compatibility when sending AI, SVG and DXF files to customers.

Ideally - I’d like to “Print” to PDF - but just print whatever graphics I’ve got selected (like Export) works. But I’m open to suggestions.

Screencaptures and exporting from preview always results in customers stating “it’s really blurry…can you make it sharper”.

If you want to not send the whole Workspace to your customer you can turn off layers you don’t want to show in your print, Simply turn-off Show in the Cuts / Layers window and print it.

I just tested this with Microsoft Print to PDF and it worked as expected.

Cut Selected Graphics didn’t Print just the Selected Graphics - I’ll check to see if there’s a way.

Good workaround - and definitely functionality I didn’t know existed…so thanks for that! My challenge is that I’ve got items repeated with cuts/layers in the same file that are going to different clients for review.

A use case might be - 50 ornaments on a sheet. All are the same “style” with 2 layers of cuts and one layer of engraving. The only difference between the ornament is the personalization. I want to quickly be able to send the ornaments to 10 different customers being represented in the 50 total ornaments.

If I turn off “show” for one ornament, it turns it off for all of them.

I could break the ornaments into different files - but that kills efficiency in engraving/cutting. I really need them all together so I can do all 50 at once.

Something like giving an option to export a “high res jpg” instead of just svg, ai and dxf.

The best thing to do is post this on our Feature Suggestions site.
The devs look there for new features to build.

After you’ve posted, let me know and I’ll mention ‘Print Selected’ internally as well.
