Problem connecting Macbook to Neje 2s plus

I have problems ro connect my Macbook air tom my Neje master 2s plus.
I get the error code that the laser is paused or occupied. I can not get it to work. I hope for somebody to help me

Thanks, although I have a Mac, I’m really a Linux user. I loaded lsusb on the Mac and use that, but it’s not standard.

I have ordered a usb 2 hub and will try that when I get it.

Please do. I know it has worked for others, but a larger sample size(success/failure) is good.
