That looks like a diode that hasn’t been focused. Since it’s visible light, it is mostly reflected by white paper, and if it is not focused, it won’t burn through. The laser power is reduced when it slows down at corners. Focus the laser to the finest point you can using the ‘Laser Fire’ button in LightBurn to fire the laser at a very low power setting, and twisting the focus ring at the bottom of the laser. That should help.
