Problem when filling a figure (undulations)

Hello everyone.

I have recently bought my new laser engraving Ortur Laser Master 2 s2. Testing the machine I found this problem:

As can be seen, there is a kind of undulations within each figure, regardless of the speed of movement, they always appear.

I hope someone can help me identify the problem.

Thank you

This may be due to a flat spot on one of your wheels or an over tightened belt/ Give your laser a good mechanical look-over while off and ensure it moves smoothly in both axis.

I’d guess some sort of modulation of the laser power. The top two look like the same pattern , so I’d be interested to know if it was power or speed that changed between them. I’d also be interested to know if the material was moved between burns, because that could help prove or disprove Colin’s flat spot suggestion. (They’re slightly offset in x - a flat spot would have stayed x aligned).

If the laser power isn’t steady I’d guess the culprit is the PSU, but it could also be the emitter.

Thanks for your reply, I will check.

Thanks for your reply. Between the two patterns I only changed the speed.

The strange thing is that in the pattern with fewer lines there are some straight and some wavy.

In theory the default configuration of the program should not create these strange patterns.

Thanks for your help, I’ll keep trying things
