Problem with laser not coming on when it should

Hello Im new to the Forum and hope someone could help. Just converted my CTR laser to a Ruida RDC6445s controller from a leetro mpc6535. I’ve got as far as everything is connected, checked the axis move in the correct directions and by the correct amount. my first problem is that i cant seem to find on the controller or light burn how to zero the z axis? i do have upper and lower limit sensors that are working but the controller is reading 2276mm when it really wants to be at the upper limit zero.

My second problem is that I’ve tried to cut a simple square, but the laser is firing while its traveling to the start point, then turns off when it should be cutting the square, then turns back on again while it returns to the home position and turns off once its there.
Bit confused if this is a wiring issue or a problem with a setting in my light burn software?

In the vendor settings in machine settings there is a setting (sorry not where I can connect to my laser to get the exact wording so am doing this by memory) called something like Signal High. If it is checked, uncheck it or visa versa. This will stop the laser being on while traveling and not on when it should be.

Thank for the reply. ive manage to fix the laser firing while on the rapid moves. it was set as low on the out put signal but its wired into the high out put on the power supply. not sure which one of these it should be connected to its just what it was on for the last controller

No luck as of yet working out how to zero the z axis? im used to using a cnc mill where thats easy to do, might just be me not yet knowing where the button is!
