Problema con archivo lbrn [Problem with LightBurn File]

Buenas noches. He adquirido unas Plantilla de Calibración para LightBurn y no hay manera que funcionen.

En la descarga hay dos archivos ZIP. Al descomprimirlos, hay varios archivos con la extensión .lbrn y .Ibrn2. Las instrucciones para trabajar con estos archivos, indican que clicando sobre los archivos con estas extensiones, automáticamente abre LightBurn y es posible trabajar en ellos. Indica, muy claramente, que hay que abrirlos directamente desde el archivo, no abriendo LightBurn e importando, ya que de esta forma pierden o se modifican los parámetros.

Pues bien, si sigo sus instrucciones, se abre una ventana donde me pide que seleccione con qué programa debe abrirse. Selecciono LightBurn.exe y, después de un parpadeo, vuelve a salir la misma ventana de selección. Y repite el mismo proceso tantas veces como lo intento, sin llegar a abrir el programa:

Incluso he ido a Aplicaciones Predeterminadas de Windows para indicarle que estos archivos los abra con LightBurn, sin resultado.

Si abro LightBurn, puedo importar los archivos, pero en las instrucciones se indica muy claramente que no deben abrirse de esta manera, pues pierde los parámetros de configuración.

El vendedor, con el que me he puesto en contacto, me dice que las descargas las ha probado en varios ordenados y que no encuentra ningún problema, y que me ponga en contacto con LightBurn a ver si sabéis qué pasa.

Alguien tiene idea de qué puede estar pasando y como solucionarlo?

The question I’m going to ask is simply related to the fact that I’m not seeing the well-known “Lightburn” software icon in this list of programs.
Is the Lightburn software properly installed and working?
In other words, can you open Lightburn without going through these files?

Gracias por la atención y la respuesta, Kuth. Me estoy encontrando con que en el escritorio de mi pc, parece que se borran los anagramas de los icono, especialment es dos programas, uno de ellos es LightBurn. Este es el icono que se muestra en el escritorio.

Por eso imagino que tampoco aparece el característico en la selección. He escrito a Microsoft para comentarles el problema del incono en blanco, pero pienso que no debería afectar al fichero, ya que la dirección (LightBurn.exe) es la correcta. O estoy equivocado?

El programa funciona perfectamente clicando sobre el icono (en blanco) del escritorio, es decir, sin pasar por este fichero. Si abro LightBurn y importo este fichero, se abre sin problema…

He reinstalado la última versión, borrando totalmente la anterior, pero no se soluciona.

If the software opens and works normally by clicking the blank icon, I think the files in question should work as well. But apparently they don’t, and I can’t help further.

It just occurred to me that the software might not be installed.

Due unknown reasons your lightburn installation doesn´t show the correct icon and it seems there is also no association to the lightburn file extensions.

However, if you open* the .lrbn2 file with ligtburn, it should work exactly as it is forseen.

*Do not import the file but open it. Import keep the context of your [empty] file while open uses the one of the selected file. This may be the reason the file creator point to open it via double click. There should be no difference if you open it via menu instead of a double click.

Kuth, qué programario no debe de estar instalado? El tema de los iconos en blanco, al menos los del escritorio, ja está solucionado. Se trataba del caché de iconos dañado. El que debería aparecer en la selección ara abrir el archivo, todavía sigue en blanco.

Kuth, which software should not be installed? The issue with the blank icons, at least the desktop icons, is now fixed. It was the damaged icon cache. The one that should appear in the selection when opening the file is still blank.

Vale, ya he solucionado este problema (y otros, por ejemplo, no podía activar la copia de pantalla).

Detallo el proceso, por si sirve a alguien:

Se trataba de la versión de LightBurn que estaba utilizando (V2.0.04-RC-1 758 eaf8), que es la ultima versión que me recomendaba al abrir el programa.

Normalmente, cuando aparece una nueva versión (y se actualizan constantemente), acostumbro (acostumbraba, ya no) a descargarla, aunque fuera beta. Finalmente he eliminado esta última versión de LightBurn del ordenador, y he cargado la versión 2.0.04, que parece ser la más estable.

Ahora funciona perfectamente, abre los archivos .lbrn y .Ibrn2 directamente desde el mismo archivo.

También se han solucionados otros problemas que aparecían en esta última versión beta y no me había dado cuenta hasta hoy. Por ejemplo no podía hacer impresiones de pantalla de zonas concretas. Con la versión 2.0.04, han desaparecido todos los problemas (espero).

I detail the process, in case it helps anyone:

It was the version of LightBurn I was using (V2.0.04-RC-1 758 eaf8), which is the latest version that was recommended to me when I opened the program.

Normally, when a new version appears (and they are constantly updated), I used to (used to, not anymore) download it, even if it was beta. I finally removed this latest version of LightBurn from the computer, and loaded version 2.0.04, which seems to be the most stable one.

Now it works perfectly, it opens .lbrn and .Ibrn2 files directly from the same file.

Some other problems that appeared in this last beta version and I didn’t notice until today have also been fixed. For example I could not make screenshots of specific areas. With version 2.0.04, all problems have disappeared (I hope).

I apologize, but I think I didn’t make myself clear.
What I meant by “It just occurred to me that the software might not be installed” in my first comment is that you could be trying to open the file without having Lightburn installed, or at least correctly installed, and the file won’t open for that reason.
If it’s a far-fetched reason, yes, but it wouldn’t be the first time.

You forgot to reveal this or part of this information. Just because it’s an RC version can lead to “surprises”. :wink:
I personally still don’t have the knowledge to help, but there are people who could provide better guidance. :wink:
Anyway, it’s resolved, and you’ve outlined the solution to the problem, which is the most important part!:+1:

Sí, Kuth, tienes razón, olvidé detallar el tema de las actualizaciones pero, a partir de hoy, no voy a actualizar ninguna nueva versión, hasta que no se lance la definitiva y estable.
