Problems importing dxf files

When importing dxf files, the lines become curved. Below are two screenshots, the first is Lightburn, the second is EZCAD. I would be grateful for a solution to this problem. Thank you all in advance.

can you show settings under import for LightBurn also can you change it to PDF and import to lightburn?

Please attach the dxf file.

That text looks very small… about 0.35mm high?

What version of LightBurn are you running?

With such a small text, and in a first approach, I turned my attention to these setting.

This is not a problem with drawing on the screen. Engraving also comes out with artifacts. Plus I have this setting at maximum. Plus the program refuses to engrave some elements. I tried to engrave this in two other programs: EZCAD and weldMARK3. These programs do not have these problems.

Attach the lbrn2 & the dxf files so others can try to replicate the issues you’re describing.

Also, provide the version number of LightBurn in use.

Are you exporting DXF from CorelDraw? If so, you should be using the LB macro for CorelDraw, which uses AI format.

This was the case in the last few versions. After updating to version 1.7.02 nothing has changed.
These are the files (there is the same problem with other files):
01.lbrn2 (71,8 КБ)
fb 001.dxf (256,5 КБ)

Thank you. Can you please tell me where to get a macro? I’ll try to use it. But firstly, I already import into AI in Lightburn, though without a macro. Secondly, I have a huge library of DXF files. Which I’ve been collecting for over 10 years and I don’t want to redraw or resave several gigabytes. Especially if the software supports it. And the software is distributed on a paid basis.

Best to do a search in Google because there’s videos to watch and documentation to be read.

The CorelDraw macro is supplied by Lightburn.

It would help to know what version of LB you are using. I import DXF into Lightburn, and it works for me. I always have the auto-close tolerance set to 0, because I create polylines in a CAD program - lines and arcs that form connected shapes.

What program created your DXF files?

Here´s the Doc for the Lightburn macro:

Thank you. But this does not solve the problem of importing dxf files. Do not get me wrong. I have a library of dxf files and I want to fully use it without additional transformations. The more so because the software should do this. I am fine with new files. And I want to solve the problem of importing dxf files. I have tried many of my files and they all import with errors. Plus, very often the contour lines are not closed, although they are actually closed. The software in which I created dxf files is CorelDraw. Version lightburn 1.7.02. Forgive me if you find my answer rude. It’s just that this is not the first time I have encountered this when I ask a question, but instead of solving the problem, you are led away from the essence of the question. At the very beginning, I asked about importing dxf files. I was offered to use a macro for CorelDraw. This is good, but this does not solve my problem. Once again, forgive me for being rude.

Can you upload one of your DXF files that doesn’t work for you in Lightburn?

I asked you what you set the auto-close tolerance to in LB, but you didn’t answer.

I published this above. By the way, automatic closing didn’t help.

You have unnecessary fills in the DXF file. But, when I import it into LB, I get the result you wanted.

I understand. I will try to delete the program and install it again. Maybe it will help. Thanks for the answer.

No need to delete. I think I just found the problem. I had the units set to inches on DXF import and it worked correctly - shapes looked correct. When I set the units to mm on DXF import, the shapes looked bad.

Use this setting on DXF import.

Excuse me, but what size did you get for your rectangle? I export in millimeters. The rectangle size is approximately: 3.9 mm by 1.45 mm. If you export as shown in your settings, the detail will be much larger. And yes, there are practically no artifacts. But if you zoom in on the drawing, the rounding on the edges of the letters is still not correct
