When engraving a photograph on a stainless steel medal, it is clearly visible in one position, while in another it shows shadows/holograms.

Which is which?
Your first image suggests that the line interval is too large.
The second image is blurry, and I can’t see what the problem is if we didn’t see the original image you’ve used.
We need to know this in order to help you.
If you are working with the Gweike G2 Pro 30W in your profile, I have achieved good results on brass with these settings:
The shinier surface of your coin will probably behave differently.
Run the job once with the settings from the screenshot above, then adjust the min and max power accordingly:
- Too many dark areas: reduce Max Power %
- Areas with no markings (that are not white in the image source): increase Min Power %
Honestly, I don’t know. What exactly are you looking to improve?
