I updated my software to the most recent Lightbourn version. Made a few cuts on a couple projects and then did a practice run on certain material turned out great. Then I went to run a final cut and engrave for a project and my machine is just going in one direction back-and-forth back-and-forth. It’s not even work rendering the whole file.
I think it may have to do with the update. Is anyone else having issues with the new update?
I have had that happen on a couple projects in the past… None of which were the fault of Lightburn. I had settings or file size exceed my DSP capability. The root cause was my file buffer on the DSP controller would not fit… took me a while to figure out but I fixed it by deleting all locally stored file directories on the DSP itself. perhaps check to see if you have many files buffered on the machine. Check any local storage on your Rudia controller… The ultimate fix was to just rename the output file to the machine from lightburn as the same file name each time, therefore overwriting the last file sent. Then I do not run out of local memory on the laser.
I think Lightburn was originally developed with the Ruida in mind…
No matter, many of us have the Ruida controller and many of us are on the beta releases… It gets pretty well hammered by a lot of people before it ever makes it out…
If you are doing something exotic, maybe a bug could develop and slip through…
The Ruida will act up if it’s memory becomes cluttered… this part doesn’t seem well implemented by the creators of the device…
If you can duplicate the issue, it’s wise to bring it up to support…
Good luck
