Lately, I have been having problems with my Lightburn software drawing and designing side. Everything I draw or import, all end up with missing segments. No matter if it is text, lines, or shapes, anything generated in Lightburn or imported SVG files end up corrupted in Lightburn and will not render correctly. Some with missing segments, blank spots or unfinished cuts. I Installed a new copy of LightBurn on a different computer with none of these problems. Can I re-install LightBurn to correct this problem as it is virtually useless at this time. Both my computers are iMacs. I am also using XCS and can create the same design/artwork in that environment with no problems at all.
Probably not of value doing this.
What does Preview show you? Does it reflect the gaps you’re talking about?
I’m going to guess you have tabs/bridges enabled in your Cut settings. Please review and confirm. If it’s not that can you provide the following:
- photos of the burn showing the gaps
- full screenshot of LightBurn with the design loaded
- screenshot of Preview
- screenshot of Cut settings
The tabs and bridges setting is enabled, and here are some screen shots for you to review. I am new to all this, but in the preview screen you can see the gaps in the lines that do not cut, and in the screen shot showing both the grid drawing and the cut settings you can see green “dots” everywhere there is a gap in the lines. I do not know how to close those gaps.
Thanks for your help with this. I really want to be able to use this software.
If you don’t want those gaps, then disable tabs/bridge in cut settings.
Having Tabs/Bridges on is what is causing your issue. Here is documentation on what exactly it does:
