Is there anyway I can restore my file? I’ve worked on it for quite some time and now I get this error and my vector shapes are gone and this is really frustrating 
. I want to mention that the file was on a usb stick and I have never encountered this issue before.
Even more annoying is that the thumbnail of the file shows everything but when I open it I get this error
The file is simply corrupted. You might try to open that file using a text editor, jump to that line and check if you see anything suspicious.
Every disk can fail. In my opinion, USB disks are much more fragile than internal hard drives; therefore, I wouldn’t use it as a single storage device. For backups, it’s fine.
Thank you for your reply. I’m glad what I had was not a really big project because that would’ve been really bad and that’s why I am actually interested in why the file got corrupted and hope that people working on this software can actually find out and fix the problem, or at least help me or people who had the same issue, restore the file
