Project HELP - needing help matching up two separate cuts

(David) #1

I am looking for someone who would be willing to help a noob out? I’m trying to cut out two pieces of 3mm ABS plastic out but cannot understand how to get it so that the two pieces line up perfectly… so if anyone either knows how to do it or has any videos about it I’d be really grateful to hear from you

Thanks

What do you mean when you say “Line Up”? Are these two parts that need to fit together?

Post a screenshot of what you’re trying to do.

Yes, there are two pieces that form a ‘back’ and ‘front’ that would need to line up and attach together to form one whole piece. It’s really hard to explain…

The best (and most accurate) way is to just drag one part on top of the other part in LightBurn to see how they align. You should make sure each part is grouped together first so you can easily drag them apart after you verify the fit.

You can use the mirror image controls to flip one if they attach face to face

As @Blake suggested, share some pictures of what you are trying to accomplish. This will allow us all to “see” what you are wanting to achieve.
