I am trying to focus and tune my laser. When I pulse the machine, I do not get a single dot. I get two marks - one that is the single small dot I expect, but I also get another one about 3mm away from it in the shape of a crescent. What did I do wrong?
It may be the beam is bouncing off the nozzle a quick check is to remove the nozzle and pulse at the correct focal point. it should be a single dot and in the center of the lens tube
Thank you! I removed the nozzle and discovered that the beam was not hitting centered. It was off to one side. I adjusted the mirror over the nozzle and got it centered and that solved the problem.
