When i create a QR code, it shows as a square in the program but when i engrave it it comes out rectangular and is hard to scan. Im engraving using the fill option and im doing it on thin colored metal.
Are you sure that you don’t have Rotary mode turned on? That is a common cause of things being squished vertically. Just a guess though.
Show pictures / screenshots. Otherwise, it’s impossible to judge.
