Question about engraving cups

I am engraving on a white cup and everything will look fine, although on a black cup it would look better if the fills were silver and the outline (actual image) was left black. Is there a tutorial or way I could invert what’s going on?

There are, but first, what type of artwork are you wanting to invert. If you are using a bitmap, raster image, you can select “Negative Image”.

If you want to invert a vector engraving (Fill layer) you need to add an outline to it. Think about what happens when you scan a circle, compared to the letter ‘O’. The inner ring of the O toggles the fill. Thank you for your reply. I actually am not too familiar with lightburn. I ended up using illustrator to do what you said, except I added an offset, then expanded it, moved my art to the top layer, and minus front. Same thing but it did the trick. Then I ended up not even using it. Lol
