Question about new update version

I keep being reminded I have to update the version I have and then it says my version expired before the release of the new version… I thought it should automatically update to the newest version each time a new version is released. Am I supposed to buy a new version now or is there a glitch? How do I get the new version, or turn off the reminder everytime I start LB? Thanks

DO NOT post your License Key

If your renew has expired you just need to purchase a new renew.

If you want to turn off check for updates. I think this is it. I’ve never turned it off.

Thanks for that. I thought lifetime updates came with it when I bought the product. Live and learn. No prob. I’m reading a lot of complaints about the buggy new version so I think I’ll wait until those are worked out, then update. Thanks for showing me how to turn off the reminder. It drives me crazy every day. Peace at last! Again, thank you for responding to this.

You are probably thinking Lifetime License. The Free Updates has always been for only one year.

The release v2.0.02 has become fairly stable. However, you will have to fiddle with settings, including Windows, and the result might not be the same as the pre-2.0 installs. In my case, it was different but much better. All my icons and text are larger, and easier to read. My LB windows are no longer stacked (upper and lower). All the tabs are now in one row, which this I like too.

I did think that. That’s good to know. I just hate having the wheel reinvented and starting over like with each version of Windows. I dislike change when it feels like change was done because someone was bored and created busy work for themselves. Improvements are always good if they aren’t so complicated they detract from functionality. It’s the age we live in. Thanks for your sharing.

I agree with you in that respect. If I understand correctly, they changed the underlying platform the software is written on because there were some things that weren’t possible with the old platform. I’m sure there are other reasons as well. All above my pay grade.

That’s good to know, Now if I can get my wood to stop cupping. I live in Louisiana and use a 36" x 36" machine on the back porch. My wood is planed flat, but during laser work, it cups. Louisiana has high humidity, and I think that’s the issue. I might have to spray the surface right after planing it and then cut or etch. As for LB, it’s better than Microsoft’s Windows’ new versions.I’ll try it out once I figure out the wood issues.
Thanks, Tim.
