Hello. I just bought the Lightburn 1.0.06 version and the radius option from the left menu does not appear to work. i even tried it on a new square i drew and after i hoover over the corner, no bullseye pictogram appears… i need to mention that i followed the steps in the help manual, and nothing.
I read the topics on the forum but most had problems because they tried to radius a corner between a curved line and a straight one, but in my case, it did not even work on a new rectangle i drew… as i said, i need to round some specific corners between straight lines from more complex designs, so radiusing all corners of a rectangle from shape properties does not apply here.
Can you please help me discover what am i doing wrong? Or is it a bug that will be solved soon?
The radius tool on the left toolbar will work with a hand-drawn rectangle. You’re thinking of the ‘Corner Radius’ property, which only exists on rectangles.
i did not consider restarting the software… I just did and drew a square, and radius worked… but when i open the other project again, that contains a more complex design(a letter) it does not want to round a corect corner of the letter(it was converted to path) and for testing i drew a rectangle next to it, and selected that one for radiusing, and it did not recognise that corners either…
I will do tomorow a screen recording and post the private youtube link here. The rectangle was drawn with the rectangle tool, to test it in optimum conditions.
The radiused corner tool will not work on curves, only straight lines, and the lines have to be connected, and long enough to create a corner at the chosen radius. For example, I can’t create a 10mm radius corner here, because these lines are less than 20mm apart (radius 10 = diameter 20):
The radius tool also is limited by the size of your rectangle. If your side is only 10 mm, a 10 mm radius will extend all the way down to the next corner. That will not leave any room to radius that corner as the full line has been used. You could also use a 7mm radius and a 3mm radius because the total does not add up to a radius longer than your line.
