Raised text with an image on both ends

I am trying to make a last name sign with an image on both ends of the last name. I know how to do the raised text, which is what I want, but it won’t burn the image into it too. So I’m doing something wrong, just not sure what?

So I’m trying to add these catfish to the project but it’s not burning them in justburning black.

Treat the images just like your text, with an offset. Right click on your image> trace image. Make sure you get a good trace of the outline, don’t worry about anything in the interior of the image. You only need the outline. Make sure delete original image is NOT checked and select Clear Boundary. Now you can do an offset of the tracing. Select Outer shapes only and Delete original objects. Put the offset on the same layer as your background and you should have a hole for your image.
