Random stray lines when engraving

Hi,
I have an Atomstack A5 Pro 40W and am sometimes getting stray lines when engraving leather and have no idea why. See attached pics. Thanks.

Are you using offset fill?

If so, this looks like a mechanical issue made more obvious with the offset fill.

Do a full mechanical review of the machine:

1. belt tension
2. pinion gears are properly secured
3. laser module mount wheel tension

Moving to standard fill may be enough to avoid the artifacts as offset fill is much more mechanically demanding.

No, so far I’ve only played around with line or fill, I have never used offset fill.

I will do a mechanical review soon and retry, thanks for the advice.
