Hello everyone, I am new here and hope to learn a lot via this nice forum. I have a Longer ray5 10W for a few months now. I am trying to engrave photos on slate and vanvas. During this engraving, horizontal visible stripes appear. I have tried everything such as adjusting the wheels and belts correctly. But that makes no difference, I suspect it has to do with my settings in Lightburn. Can someone share his settings so that I have a starting point to continue. I proces my images on imagR website. My settings are now:
speed 4800
power 35%
overscanning 2.5%
lineinterval 0.1000
dot widht correction 0.0.30
I suggest you try out different line intervals as mentioned in our docs on how to achieve good image engravings: 5 Steps to Perfect Image Engravings - LightBurn Documentation
Don’t forget about utilizing the preview window before sending a job!
Can we see a photo of what your laser did to your more material for more context?
