Ray5 20W Crashes when Framing

I just finished setting up my Longer Ray5 20w Engraver, and am trying to run a test file off the SD card. I’ve tried the cat and the flower. When I select the file and tell it to frame, the system crashes and reboots.

I’ve also had this problem when sending a material test from my laptop over Wi-fi. It got through “Passes: 1” “Speed (mm/min),” and "Power(%). It crashed after it started writing the top speed. I tried it again over Wi-fi, it got two and a half letters into the title then crashed again.

I have the power plugged into a power strip which is plugged into my workbench’s power strip (cables wouldn’t reach), which is plugged into the wall. Could this just be a power-draw issue? I doubt it, since the crash off the SD card is happening about two seconds after I tell it to frame. The screen says “patrolling…” If that was enough of a power draw to cause a crash, I shouldn’t have been able to start an engraving successfully.

Edit: I ran the cat print and it completed. /could the framing issue be because I had already homed it to 0?

I don’t know if this is your problem, but is definitely good to know. I just bought mine. The only thing I have done so far is burn the work area grid on my waste board to match the grid on LightBurn. By trying to do the entire work area I discovered that the documented work area size is not that of any documentation. The machines hard limits the best I can tell is 400mm wide by 360mm tall. My machine freezes if I go any further in each direction. I didn’t have it properly homed on the 1st layer that froze up, but luckily is was a small layer and failed earlier than later. My finished waste board still looks awesome.
