So I am engraving a large image into a special piece of wood, using my BOSS 1420. I get one chance. After much testing on scraps, I pulled the trigger on the final cut, at a speedy 300mm/s.
Turns out, the Ruida might wait until it’s approaching y=0 to throw the dreaded error.
D’oh!
Recover:
- Don’t touch the piece. Leave it right where it is.
- Lock your image in LB so you won’t accidentally move it.
- Crop the image in LB.
- Check the Frame on the laser.
Repeat 3,4 until you’re happy.
- Cut speed and power both in half.
- Don’t forget to move assign your cropping rectangle to a layer that will not output.
Resume the cut.
Voila!
