Red Dot Offset for a UV Galvo is good for flat surface, NOT Rotary

I have the red dot offset dialed in on my new UV galvo for flat surfaces but when I switch to the rotary, not so good.

I haven’t seen any YouTube videos that deal with red dot offset for rotary attachments. Does anyone know if there are additional adjustments somewhere that are specific to rotaries? If not, do you just play with the same offset settings and you have to remember to change them back when you go back to engraving flat surfaces?

This is on my fiber machine … don’t know about your uv machine but you can check.

Yours looks off in two directions. In the window that pops up right before you lase it, there is a center correction.

:smiley_cat:

I would agree on output center except it seems to be both axis. Sure looks like the glass slipped but I’m not there. Maybe turn your acceleration down (larger number) and see what happens.
I haven’t had this issue and do a lot of rotary stuff with the fiber laser. Shouldn’t matter.
