the red dot pointer on my machine (yes i know it has limits) seems to show as a short stumpy line rather than a dot…any one else had an issue with these type of pointers
i thought it may have just been dirty but cleaning didnt make any difference
I have had something similar, in my case it was a material that gave many sparks during processing and actually burned the small plastic lens from the laser pointer. I cut a small disc with a very small hole in the middle (here I only used pulses) I mounted it in front of the pointer as a replacement for the plastic lens. It gave me an acceptable round point again.

just found something similar on youtube…worked sort of but i suspect your pulsing is a good trick here
