Yes - the process is different in that MillMage has the ability to directly control machines.
There is ‘post processing’ in that code is generated to your specs (or defaults), but it’s less of a ‘post, review, fiddle with it, then run’ and more of a ‘run’. The step from make a change to run it again is very seamless. When you’re iterating on a toolpath, this saves an enormous amount of time.
You can of course adjust the GCode output to suit your needs, and share device profiles from user to user.
MillMage will also come in at a lower price than VCarve Pro (currently sold at $699 USD) - I do not have any specifics to share regarding this, but it will be ‘disruptive’ - just like LightBurn.
