Remember last file type on open file dialiog

It would be nice that when you click open that the open file dialog that the file type filter is remembered from the last time you opened a file.

I do a lot of opening generated SVG’s and make small changes and then save (it saves as lightburn file which is fine) and repeat this many times. Would save quite a bit of time if I did not have to change the filter to vector formats every time and it was remembered from the last time I opened a file.

If you’re bringing in graphic files choose import rather than open and it will be as you request.
Use open for Lightburn files. That preserves any setting in the file.

I like using open. Click open, open my svg, make my change, click save (I don’t have to change file name or anything). Then repeat, it is a quick process and would be quicker if it remembered file type filter.

You might like it, but it’s kind of a misuse of the function. So I don’t think this will be changed as it would affect 99.99% of all users negatively, since they want to open LB files, and even if they opened an SVG once, the next file will be lbrn again

You can also just drag the SVG into the LB window to open it, if I remember correctly. That might be faster in your use case..
