After upgrading to version 1.3 and noticed that the “remove overlapping lines” has been extended which is something I been craving for along time. However, it appears that the update only applies to either lines of similar lengths as in previous versions and lines that do not coincide “externally”, not sure how to phrase it. Short lines overlapping within the bounds of longer lines are still duplicated. When will this be addressed?
I would be interested in seeing your file to confirm this behaviour.

I see the behaviour in the Preview window.
I found some discussion about this on the internal channels and the fix is ‘non-trivial’.
This one may take some time to get to.
This is now fixed for the 1.3.01 patch, to be released shortly.

Thanks to the LightBurn team for addressing all overlapping line permutations and combinations (including curved overlaps!!) in the 1.3.01 patch, much appreciated.
