Hi everyone,
I’m trying to make my engraving workflow more efficient, but I’m running into issues when replacing images, especially when warping is involved. Here’s how my process works:
I download images that need to be engraved, they always have the exact same dimensions.
In LightBurn, I’ve created a few template files with tool layers (lining) that show where the engraving should appear on my workbed, this makes sure each alignment is correct.
I import or paste the image, both would work for me, then apply three adjustments:
- I set the width to 109%
- I use the Warp Selection tool to slightly curve the image for tapered products
- I rotate the image 90 degrees and place the image where it should be
The issue comes when I try to replace or refresh the image.
For regular, unwarped images, LightBurn’s Edit → Image Options → Replace or Refresh works great. But for warped images, neither method seems to do anything. The new image doesn’t appear, and the old one stays visible no matter what I do.
My question:
Is there any way to refresh or replace a warped images without having to redo the warp and width adjustments manually each time?
I process a lot of different engravings, and having this step automated or streamlined would make a big difference.
Thanks in advance!
