I’m considering the purchase of an Atezr 36W Laser Engraving Machine where the laser module is fully functional [tested on an iKier laser] but the control board has failed and a replacement is necessary. Does anyone know where you can purchase the control board for this specific laser module? If not, it is my understanding that an iKier K1 Series 36W Controller Motherboard can be used. I also understand that the touchscreen is not compatible with the Atezr but I don’t care cause I never use the touchscreen anyway as I always use a USB cable to my laptop. Thank you for any help and assistance. I have emailed iKier support for information on where I can obtain this motherboard but, it seems to have fallen on deaf ears or eyes.
Unless you get an exact replacement from Atezr, which will not happen, then it will not be a drop-in replacement. You will not have the GRBL parameters and will have to figure them out, or get them from another Atezr owner.
If the iKier board is not available, then you might consider a generic DLC32 board with GRBL loaded.
I have read about similar situations here, so I am sure plenty of help is available.
Thank you for your prompt info. I am now looking for a board that can utilize the Z axis so that in LightBurn after a deep cut I can have a drop, say 1 mm, after each pass which was possible with this laser. If you know any other lasers out there that have an XY & Z function, other than auto focus, that can be used to raise or lower cuts between passes that would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the delay in the response but I was out of state for several days. Are you stating that this controller will work for the laser that I referenced earlier? Even though it’s a CNC controller it’ll work for the ATZER 36 W laser?
No, I am stating it might work. You will only know if you try it. Don/t rip up the packaging in case you need to send it back.
My CNC machine used a board similar to this. I could replace the spindle with a 5w laser module.
Not all CNC boards have the $32 parameter. It is needed to switch between spindle and laser.
