I finally decided (since I don’t use the red dot pointer) to use the wiring already in the channel for it to put in a temporary push button switch. An idea maybe for anyone else who finds their red dot pointer useless. I also uploaded the lightburn file here for the switch mount.

Just curious why did you get rid of your red dot?
Awesome job on the autofocus switch by the way.

I never used the red dot pointer. I’ve always found it to be “pointless” (pun intended).
The only kind of red dot pointer that is accurate is the type you combine with the CO2 laser mirrors.
I have to say, I love the focus switch. It’s one of those “why did I wait so long to do this” moments.

I’ve made 3 of those and have that Lightburn file as well to make more. And there’s always the old fashion manual way.
Lol.
But I also will make other sized blocks for my other lenses and lens holders having different focal lengths and spacing relative to the material.
