Request about pass order in a layer of 10 components

Hi there,

I am using sculpfun s30 pro 20w diode laser. I use it around %80-90 power. However when i am cutting 8mm or 10mm plywood, it starts to burn small shapes such as 10x small circle has diameter around 10mm. It needs to do around 20-30 pass for a cut that thick poplar or birch plywood. However to be able to cut it without burning the wood, i am sepereating them layer by layer. As far as i have searched, i couldn’t find a solution to this. If exist, please kindly let me know. If it doesn’t exist, it would be super helpfull to add one of the 2 solutions below.

  1. Being able to add a delay option between passes, (I would not prefer this)
  2. Imagine 10x small circles in a layer, goes with circle a circle b circle c. I don’t want circle a to cut 20 passes and then go to circle b to cut 20 passes. I can manage this manually but it takes so much time. I would love to do it by one click that make circle a one pass, then goes to circle b one pass, after finishing 10th circle, it goes to circle a again to make 2nd pass.

Cheers,
Gorkem

Instead of setting the number of passes, you could create the equivalent number of sublayers. That should get you the behavior that you’re looking for.

Ex:
Instead of 10 passes, create 10 sublayers of Line mode.

In addition to PY’s comment, I’d suggest that you just increase your cutting speed. Especially with high-power diodes, it’s important to go faster because you cause a lot of burning and charring. Use at least 600mm/min or more to cut, then you most likely don’t need a delay between runs.

Hey Berain!

Thanks a lot for the quick solution, it worked very well!

Hey Misken!

Thank you for the kind suggestion. I am aware of that and i have tried multiple tests before and i think i found the best combination for my needs. It was just the small shapes needed to wait, with this way all working fine.

Cheers
