Request for driver and breakout schematics

Does anyone have schematics and any other technical details of driver boards such as 2204_VER1.0 and breakout P-DA-01 ?

I see example connections but they’re oftenn unhelpful or incomplete : for example I have one that’s labelled in the instructions to have PWM, fan, 12V and diode connectors but on the board they’re PWM, L±/ and two F+/-

I want to understand what options these connectors are actually providing.

I might be incentivised to reverse-engineer them myself but if it’s already documented somewhere I’d rather go there.

I may not be much help, but that looks like PWM, POS, and NEG for the laser and Pos and NEG for the fan.

Your Bio says K40. Is that a CO2 laser? If so, CO2 tubes use the PWM to control a power supply specifically designed for that laser type.

I hope this is of some use to you. If you can hear fron somebody that has a K40 using a GRBL controller, that would be a win.

Yes, I do own a K40. But this question is about a diode, apparently 40W power input at 12V and 10W laser light out.

I’m trying to get my head around the industry conventions and want to understand the common PCBs.

Yes, I think those pins are as you describe. But there seem to be two ‘fan’ connectors. Do some configurations have two fans ?

The booklet describes a slightly different driver board. It still has 4 connections but one is called ‘12V interface’.

I’ve got the diode to experiment with diode lasers. Maybe I’ll fit it to the K40 (not using the CO2 tube power supply !) but I’ll probably use it to adapt another machine.

One could be for a smoke exhaust fan.

You really need an instruction manual for that board. There will be a lot of things you cannot guess into proper hookup and operation.

You sure about this? I thought any module over 10w used 24v.

I think some boards are 12v/24v capable.
