Doing inlays and setting up the job completely with multiple operations. Job is framed and first operations sent work perfectly. But should I need to send any operation back out after they are completed, if I frame that same operation that just finished, the CNC travels to weird location and then hits hard stops. So to rerun an operation, the CNC must be homed AND the device reset must be done. Homing alone does not fix the problem. If you home it and try and frame after running the first operation(s) it will still crash the CNC out of frame. Home and device reset is mandatory. Once you do those two things you can repeat/add operations and it will go to the correct position.
Don’t know if this is a CNC firmware or Millmage. Or a combination of both. But it took me a little over a week to figure out the right steps required to keep the machine from crashing.
If what @JoeSpanier recommends does not get you to a solution, then upload the .mage file so someone can air-cut with it. If it is proprietary, then send by Message instead. I have a Genmitsu 3018, and that brand has been fairly predictable.
I found a firmware update and the loss of position problem has been resolved. But even after I perform the firmware update, I still have repeating Be-Bop tone every three to five seconds while an operation is running. The tone is coming from the PC not the CNC. I have a separate thread for this and have attached a link to a video showing the issue with the console visible.
