Reset sys pos & reset coordsoffset

I’m getting this on the console:-

reset sys pos and WCO because disabling motor
reset coordoffset

I can input to MOVE TO POS
X600 & Y0.00 - GO

The module will travel no problem, but any number input to Y causes the gantry to want to move further back…which it cannot do as it is at Left/Back Home

I cannot input a negative number and have searched “reset coordsoffset” in Docs but not finding anything relevant.

Would anyone have a search term I could use.

Could this be a sort of fix? I do have an IR2w that I would like to use but to get the 20w working fully would be great.

Unfortunately the thread stopped with a suggestion of a possible fix from snapmaker, but no comment to confirm if it did or what it was.

What laser are you using and what specific alarm/error messages are you receiving? Your profile states “Yet to purchase (k1 frame-K30 & LTF23)” which is confusing.

You may need to review our documentation here, specifically the ‘the machine origin and coordinate direction’ section:

@Pete.IRL Have you created a post on Snapmaker’s forum yet for input on the firmware problems? https://forum.snapmaker.com/

Hi Jess
Thanks for the My profile reminder, I’ll get that sorted asap.

The machine is the Snapmaker ray with 20w in use and IR2w waiting to go.

I think I have posted on SM Forum but SM support are also looking into the issue for the last few weeks..Months.
They have been sending Commands to try and I send videos etc of outcomes.

I downloaded Luban just out of curiosity and found the same issue’s with slight differences only. In lightburn the module hits the front grinds - Frames - burns but is inconsistant and can continually frame in slightly further right positions & Luban the module hits the font - grinds - starts the burn or just grinds till I hit stop.

I can run a job in LB - User origin but must stay away from sides. If I try to run a job toward the back the gantry leaves Home Pos and tries to move further back and triggers alarm.

Coords are all outa whack.

The first thing on console after power on and ok is:-
E (6980) sdmmc_req: sdmmc_host_wait_for_event returned 0x107.

[I] [Plat] reset sys pos and WCO because disabling motor.
[I][Plat] reset coordoffset
ok

The poster above seemed to have the same issue as well as one other person I found searching the web, and commented that a fix for Luban causes an issue in LB. MikeyH suggested rolling back to a previous version, to before the luban fix was applied for the rotary.
Id do that and leave the IR1064 2w aside for now…just to get some work done, I’d buy a second frame for the IR if I had to.

Its been a couple of days since SM last contact but Im thinking there is no way to resolve this through LB…Its a firmware issue I’m pretty sure.

I was asking about the 'reset sys pos" etc so I could search and understand the problem..even if I cant fix it, its good to know what the problem is.

I did notice luban uses a four quadrant graph on their screen (its really made for modeling) and different issues arose depending on my job positioning.

Jess
We got the fix M2000 N6 P3 I also reinstalled the lbdev and now have full use of the area in Absolute coords.

Happy days.
