Resize tab bowing?

Tab resize issue…
LB ver 1.3.01
When I resize a tab, it results in bowed lines.

HOWEVER - I notice… a “tick” in the corner… let zoom in.

So - i thought “Edit node” to remove extra lines.
But when I do - it’s a square rectangle - no other line?
But the handles are… active? hmmm

i mean - really active.

So - i simply want to resize the slots from 5.08 to 3mm
Is this a problem ver 1.3.01?
Is this a problem with purchased SVG using SPLINE instead of lines?
Is it because my wife is waiting patiently at the laser for a simple “All you gotta do is…” fix?

hmm - i drew a box on diff layer going corner to corner.
THEN I used the resize tab and - it worked.
So the SVG must be using splines and not lines?

Or that it’s drawn artistically, such that the tabs are not true rectangles, whereupon a resizing algorithm looking for laser-friendly finger joints made with line segments falls off the rails.

Which seems likely. From what I’ve seen around here, the Venn diagram of “artistic” specialties shows a teeny tiny overlap between “folks selling on Etsy” and “technical drawing experts”.

How artfully put!

yeah… i hear ya.
We did buy it as a laser file off Etsy. Meh. I found some work arounds.
The drawing over worked well enough.

Note that you can convert curves to lines using the Edit Nodes tool. Hover the mouse pointer over the curve line segment and push L-key on keyboard.
