Restricting output to part of a drawing

I want to generate a rectangle containing two sets of slanted lines. I generated two sets of lines and then tried to restrict the output to the lines within the rectangle.

Lightburn can mask an image. I wonder if there is any easy way of doing that for a drawing.

I was able to generate the required output by using node edit and cutting all the lines just outside the rectangle but that is rather repetitive and very slow. Is there an easier way?

  1. Select the shapes that make up the pattern
  2. Add the bounding rectangle to the selection
  3. Tools->Cut Shapes

Thanks. I assumed the function would be there somewhere but I couldn’t find it. That works as I had hoped.
