Reverse Image mask?

I use image mask a lot and have come across an issue that I can not seem to wrap my head around. I have text on an image and have done an offset around the text. I would like have the offset shapes, shown in red to remove the image data in those areas, so my text pops more. Of course, when I try to mask, the image data remains IN

the offset shape, which is the reverse of what I am trying to achieve. I have also drawn a box around the entire image and grouped it to the offset shapes in hopes of “tricking” LB into removing only the image portions contained within the offset. This should be simple but I cant seem to make this work. Any ideas how this can be done within LB??

This should do what you want. Review your setup. You can “preview” the areas that will be preserved by the mask by changing the Cut mode to Fill. In your example, only the areas that you want preserved should be in red once you set to Fill. You should have a transparent area around your current offset.

If you can’t get it to work upload the .lbrn file for review.

Thanks so much! I don’t know what I was doing wrong but I was about to give up and do it in another software. After your reply, I tried again and got it to work! I appreciate your time! Thank you!
