RKQ-LM-441 Werkt dat ook met Lighburn?

Al vele jaren maak ik met plezier gebruik van LB software. Nu heb ik ook een UV fiber laser gekocht en die werkt met RD-Cad. Helaas is dat nogal bagger. Dus ben ik benieuwd of Lightburn overweg kan met een RKQ-LM-441 bord.

If you are using a CO2 laser, then you are already using Lightburn Pro. Hook it up and test it.

Tja, maar hoe kun je dat testen? De machkine staat niet in de lijst. Het is een Scotle 10 watt UV laser. Deze heeft geen USB poort maar wordt verbonden met een UTP kabel. Geen idee hoe ik dan een verbinding zou kunnen maken.

Als iemand hier info over heeft dan hoor ik dat graag!

No, the RKQ-LM-441 isn’t supported. I agree, RK-Cad sucks! I spent a lot of time reverse-enginnering the file format that it uses and the protocol that it uses to communicate with the board, and I can say it would take significant effort to make it work with lightburn, as the protocol is pretty damn far from all the other protocols I’ve dug into.

UTP (unshielded twisted pair) suggests the laser interface is RS-232, or maybe RS-485. This eliminates using Lightburn to feed or control the laser.

Nah, it’s a propritary protocol over IP, transferring of whole chunks of pre-structured memory buffers straight to the FPGA.
