I was wondering if anyone has any experience of buying a laser from China. I am interested in a ROBOTEC RTJ-1390 (150W) laser machine. Does anyone know this company and has purchased from them?

The only things I know of … are if the company actually ships it.
The customs fees
That it comes to your local area, not just the closest sea port
Ability to get it off the truck
There are probably more people that have done well than didn’t, but the horror stories of excess costs seem to be abound.
Purchase it with a credit card so they can hassle with the Chinese company if you get ripped off.
One of the recent stories … purchased a great laser… he lives in the Midwest…
Laser showed up, in San Francisco, no paperwork for customs, had to hire a customs attorney… Then had to get it shipped from SF to his town… He was really irritated as he also had to pay for storage for the month it sat waiting while he was waiting…

I’m from Slovenia. The machine would arrive at the port of Koper. The postage and customs costs are 250$. I just wonder if you have any experience with this COMPANY. As the links show, it seems as a legal company that has been in business for several years with a good financial turnover.
We exchanged a lot of emails so the communication went really well. They have send me an invoice and now I am in a dilemma whether everything is really as we agreed.
The total cost is 4.250,00$ with shipping and duties to port Koper (Slovenia). Is it safe to order and pay?

Based on past experience (but none with this particular business): if you have a bad feeling about a company before they get your money, just wait until afterward.

From all the emails written and exchanged, it seems to me that the company is legal. I have also searched many sites where there is public information about the company’s business and sales.
I opened this topic just to see if any of you may have been in contact with this company.
I will discuss if I decide to buy and how it will work.

Regarding collaboration with 'Jinan Robotec Machinery Co., Ltd .
I purchased from them last year 1 pc Laser cutting Machine RTJ-1325 .
Regarding the equipment - in terms of quality - it works quite well.
Regarding the packaging - the equipment came on a metal frame, attached to a very thin plywood box.
What they didn’t do - they didn’t fasten the legs of the equipment to the metal frame, it ran off the metal frame and the legs came out through the bottom of the plywood box.
On the upper part of the equipment they placed the boxes with accessories that slipped and scratched the paint of the equipment.
Also, the access door to the electrical part came bent. The linear guide rail for X axis was not straight, in the sense that the right side touched the guide and we had to seriously pull the axis to align it.
It looks as if something fell from the top onto the equipment, only the box at the top showed no signs of destruction. The paint on the frame started to peel off.
I sent them all the problems I found, and they told me that ‘the equipment is new’ and that the problem is probably from the transport, that I should try to solve these problems. The machine was shipped by sea.
Before purchasing it, I requested that the equipment be set, to enter the necessary parameters so that the equipment is plug and play. The equipment didn’t have any settings, moreover, they didn’t know what parameters to send me, the values.
Communication with them was very difficult, and we had to do it ourselves, they did not help us at all, although we agreed to have an online conversation at the time of commissioning if necessary - but we received nothing.
Moreover, after a while they refused to respond to the messages sent.

To give my opinion on the machine. I ordered the machine in January 2023. I got it delivered to my home in mid-April. The machine arrived well packed and ready to go. All in all, the cost with import charges was around €5000. I added an American Photonics lens and a more powerful smoke extractor to the machine. I also added a compressor for excellent air assist. So far I have no problems with the machine and it works perfectly. I attach some pictures.
