Rotary Makes the Image Too Tall

I recently received an Atomstack R3 rotary tool. Without the rotary tab switched on, the dimensions on the glass look correct, but when I switch on the “Enable Rotary” tab, the width stays the same, but the height seems to double which puts the engraving off of the glass.

Any help???

The change in height is unexpected and unusual behaviour.

When you plug the R3 in - does it plug into the X axis port, the Y axis port or it’s own U or A axis port?

With the rotary unplugged and the engraver set up normally (but with Rotary mode Enabled) enter the following into the Console window in LightBurn.
$$
then press enter. Copy and paste that report into a reply here.

Click Edit - wheel down and click Machine Settings.

On that pop up there’s a bottom header (dark bar) that’s not enabled - click the small > next to the words Outputs Setup to open that. Accept the warning in the pop-up. Scroll that window down and screen capture all the info from $100 down.

This will give us two sets of ‘size calibration’ information. I want to see if the conflict is here or between these two sets of settings and the next two sets of settings.

Close the Machine Settings window, disable Rotary mode in LightBurn and repeat the process.

In your reply, I’m looking forward to:

  • Confirmation of Which port the rotary plugs into
  • Rotary Enable:
    • $$ report
    • screen capture Machine Settings - Output Settings From $100 onward.
  • Rotary Disabled:
    • $$ report
    • screen capture Machine Settings - Output Settings From $100 onward.

Between those four reports we should be able to see the reason for the height change and fix it.
