Rotary Profile & Selection

I have a suggestion…
This might be some kind of minor issue, but if Lightburn can update it I think it would be great and convenient for some users.

I just bought a set of rotary from Atomstack, it’s Atomstack R1 Pro which contains one Roller rotary, and one Chuck Rotary. I found that I have to set different parameters for these 2 devices every time I use them (because they use the different number, unlike some 4-in-one rotary which I used to use).

In Machine Settings, this can be easier by setting some Macro as default to change or switch some parameter, but for “Rotary Setup” I found that it must be manually change, and I have to remind or take a note for those numbers.

So, if you can update something like “Create Rotary Profile” in order that we can choose which device we have set with their parameter, it would be great.

I know someone may think I’m too lazy or it’s not too hard to remember just one or two numbers of parameter. Yes, I think so. But just ask if Lightburn can update for this minor convenience by their future update.

P.S. I have also read Rotary Setup (GRBL) - LightBurn Documentation, and it wrote that for Rotary with dedicated axis, the parameter of roller should be just 360. Since my engraving machine use separating Z-axis for rotary devices, it means I should set parameter to 360. However, for Atomstack R2 (the roller rotary), its manual said that I have to put 50mm per rotation instead of 360. After I push Test button after filling the number 50 as its manual, it’s moved a little bit, not one full rotation. However, that number of 50 make accurate output when engraving, on the other hand when I put 360 as in Lightburn Tutorial, the outputs are distorted so much.

Do exactly that. Setup a new device for each different machine configuration you may have and switch your device selection when you change between rotary and whatever else.

I should have thought of this! Rotary machine and Non-Rotary machine. I to have both a Chuck/roller and a Roller rotary.
