Have a Gweike cloud Pro 2. I am trying to figure out how to setup the rotary tool. It has 22mm wheels and i set that in the setup tab hit test and the x axis is moving. (The laser head). I cant get the test button to rotate.
My main problem is i have a 52mm object and when i engrave a line of 163mm it is only about 3/4 around the object.
Don’t have a Gweike, but have a Ruida and a couple of rotaries.
In the Lightburn rotary gui, enable the rotary… and set the steps/rotation in the gui.
Pressing the test button should rotate the drive wheel 1 complete rotation and back…
I thought that would work also. Have the enable and hitting test moves the laser head. I have tried to remove device and start over. Haven’t found the magic yet.
Did you flip the switch on the machine to enable rotary?
I did. I have the pro 2, which in the docs says you only have to switch one of them. I have done with one switched ( plate/rotary) and with both switched.
When i print a line it works.
My main problem is i have a glass that is 52mm dia. So a line of 163mm should go all they around the glass. It only goes 3/4, so was trying to figure out what is wrong. Thought i would try the setup and mess with he roller dia and steps. Changing them makes no difference either during a print.
Thanks for the replies.
Oh. I misunderstood. I thought you were saying that the X moves but Y does not.
You’re saying that changing steps per rotation or roller diameter make no impact on the amount of rotation? Is this true even if you push the Test button in Rotary Setup? If true that’s very odd.
To confirm, you are enabling the “Enable rotary” toggle in the setup window?
Yup, check the enable rotary and click test and the laser head moves over and the rotary tool does not rotate. Must be something with the firmware on the machine.
